铺垫得好演出也精彩，故事地展开总体上还是依照侦探推理的思路推进，神父之死、神父复活、园丁之死、医生之死、神父尸身、修女悔罪……在密集的疑点中铺展出关于信仰的故事，贾德神父对信仰的怀疑和遵从在听完忏悔的那刻达到高峰，但也因此坚定了人对上帝的服从和服务；而侦探的推理在理性主导下只有回到人对纯粹信仰的追求才能得到解释，上帝之手笼罩于万物之上。稍显冗长，但推理需要一些枝蔓来突出主线，一些插入的笑点贴近现实，关于信仰的讨论很好，上帝啊上帝。
