agent smith as a female nurse is absolutely diabolical. this is sprawlinggg. i know i'm a broken record on this, but three hours isn't enough time to adapt a novel, let alone a highly-complex science-fiction novel. i know that professional writers and directors know this...why do they keep trying? mini series all the way on this one. putting makeup and prosthetics on white people to make them look not white is weird. it was also weird in two thousand twelve. i haven't read the novel, but maybe there was another way to pull that off? some parts of this are pretty solid and really interesting to watch. other parts seem ineffectively implemented and are just not compelling or interesting (visually or emotionally).
