a review of 处女之死

i adore this. the number of times i almost killed myself because of my strict, religious parents... the mother is the absolute worst. insanely controlling and abusive. "none of my daughters lacked for any love. there was plenty of love in our house. i never understood why." these abusive bigots *never* (never) seem to understand when they are abusing people. love cannot exist in the presence of abuse. (if you disagree with this, please read everything bell hooks has written and get back to me about it.) it's almost like maybe religion is the problem.
