Le Verger Permaculturel : Au-delà du Bio (2014)i continue to be baffled by the widespread pathological inability of most white "permaculturists" to acknowledge the indigenous roots of almost all of the things they claim to have "discovered" or "invented". these ideas are not new. they are mostly just stolen and repackaged. it is white supremacy, colonizer mindset on full display. it needs to be called out wherever we see it. i'll also say this really doesn't strike me as permaculture. it's more like sustainable, small-scale commercial agriculture. there's not a ton here about regeneration, it's mostly about production and extracting value. they use plenty of materials made from plastic that they purchase from off-site. it has hints of permaculture, but it's really a modified, improved commercial farming mindset. we have crops in rows, there's nothing really wild about this method. it's still cool though. a vast improvement over how many people would run an orchard. this definitely presents some interesting theories and ideas. i think it's also edited pretty well, although the organization of information is still somewhat of a mess.
