The Battle of Algiers (1966)

turns out, the french theory about decapitating the tape worm is a fallacy. the director of this film was a militant in two different anti-fascist armed wars prior to making this film. absolutely trippy watching this revolutionary textbook play out on screen. many of the actors were militants in the national liberation front. there doesn't seem to be a shred a bullshit in this. the film itself this was shot on is spell-binding to look at. such a visual treat. the acting is unmatched. i'm not really sure what else to say.
