It’s so strange how a movie this heavy with this compelling of a story nonetheless leaves me feeling so indifferent. The initial hook is strong and I’m sad I didn’t get to see it in dolby as a result but there’s nothing about this that makes me go “holy fuck you gotta watch this” Despite flirting with themes about the role violence plays in the fight for civil rights, I dont feel like the movie had anything to say on the subject. Its so strange.
