Anora - Review

It's a pity that director didn't let the character Ani develop more fully in the film until the last fifteen minutes. The audience was not given more chances to understand more who Ani is. The party scenes and the chaotic night at Brighton Beach were fun to watch but again did little to advance the character. Worth to point out throughout the film Mikey Madison did good job trying to build up Ani. She has a lot potentials waiting to be discovered if given a better script. Also great to see Brighton Beach get beautifully presented in the film. One of my favorite but least explored neighborhood in NYC! The ending was bittersweet. Ani was a great girl that I would love to meet!
