I didn’t grow up in Liverpool. I didn’t even grow up in a culture or setting remotely resembling Bud’s surroundings. Yet, a lot, I mean, A LOT resonate with me in this. I never saw a film that tells the emotional experience of being a gay kid as accurately as this one.
