KIMI (2022)90minutes of tight and effective story with Soderbergh having a LOT of fun with a camera. That's all I need to say. however: what i love about soderbergh is he's just a cool dude with a cool idea that he wants to see on screen and, just, like, makes it? like it's just a lil weekend project for him? iPhones seem to be getting pretty good, let's make two whole films out of that. COVID has frozen the industry? idk what you mean, dude. he shoots safely, quickly, does it himself and even edits it bc, again, this "career" is just a hobby. each film a lil weekend project in the garage for him. my guy just casually plays with Netflix and Warner Bros money and still somehow makes some of the freshest tightest shit you'll see all year without breaking a sweat.
