a review of 闪电舞

70% was me admiring the cinematography bc, wow, a movie about dancing that actually shows off the dancing itself. what a concept. 20% was wrapping my head around boss man pushing 40 pursuing his 18 year old female employee -- the modern lens really unfogs the shaky ethics of cinemas past. 10% was just the vibes, man. yes i work as a welder AND a dancer but also look at this dope warehouse i call home complete with an adorable pitbull. a movie that absolutely refuses to entertain any legitimate conflict. note: i was not aware the audition scene was the literal last sequence of the movie so i was left in a "wait THATS IT?" state for the first time in a long time.
