Jack Conte and Nataly Dawn started making music together in the summer of '08, and decided to form a band. Pomplamoose thus represents the collaborative efforts of the two afore-mentioned musicians. It also means grapefruit in French. They presented video songs with 2 rules: 1. What you see is what you hear (no lip-syncing for instruments or voice). 2. If you hear it, at some point you see it (no hidden sounds). After earning their names on youtube, Pomplamoose released their two albums <Pomplamoose Videosongs> and <Tribute to Famous People> via itune.
