UK version. Platinum selling Beautiful Soul is a blend of up-tempo, modern pop/rock/R&B/dance beats and strong melodies. Highlights include the smooth debut UK single and title track, and anthemic US hit 'Because You Live'. The album evokes both Hall & Oates' blue-eyed soul ('She's No You') and Michael Jackson at his '80s peak ('Get Your Shine On'). Other songs are influenced by admitted McCartney favorite Craig David's influential two-step garage sound ('That Was Then') and old-school Motown ('Why Is Love So Hard To Find?'). Angel Music. 2006.
