马克思·佩恩（Max Payne）是一个第三人称射击的电脑游戏，有着同名的主角。由芬兰的公司Remedy Entertainment所开发，由3D Realms所制作并且由Gathering of Developers公司于2001年7月所发行。在之后被平行移植到微软Xbox以及Sony PlayStation 2上，由Rockstar Games所发行。苹果麦金塔移植版则于2002年由MacSoft发行。至于原本有和PC同步发行计划的世嘉Dreamcast移植版本则被取消了。

The Punisher is a third-person shooter video game developed by Volition and released by THQ in 2005 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, Microsoft Windows; a mobile phone game was also developed by Amplified Games. The game stars the Marvel Comics antihero, The Punisher. After his family was murdered by the Mafia, Frank Castle devoted his life to the punishment of criminals. Players take control of the titular ruthless vigilante to track down criminals and kill them. The game's story is a loose mixture of the 2004 film, as well as the Vol. 4 (2000) and Vol. 5 (2001) of the comic books.

Soldier of Fortune is a first-person shooter video game created by Raven Software and published by Activision on February 29, 2000 for Microsoft Windows. It was later released for the PlayStation 2 as well as the Dreamcast. Soldier of Fortune was best known for its graphic depictions of firearms dismembering the human body. The GHOUL engine enables depiction of extreme graphic violence, in which character models are based on body parts that can each independently sustain damage (gore zones).

Shogo: Mobile Armor Division (昇剛: モバイルアーマーディビジョン, Shōgō: Mobairu āmā dibijon) is a Mecha first-person shooter video game released by Monolith Productions in 1998. It was the first game to use Monolith's flagship Lithtech engine. As well as performing missions on foot like other conventional FPS games, the game also allows the player to pilot a large mech.

Shogo features a mix of both standard on-foot first person shooter action, and combat with anime-style bipedal mechs. Unlike mech simulator games such as the MechWarrior series, the mechs in Shogo are controlled essentially the same as in first-person shooter games.

An inherent feature of the combat system in Shogo is the possibility of critical hits, whereby attacking an enemy will occasionally bring about a health bonus for the player while the enemy in question loses more health than usual from the weapon used. However, enemy characters are also capable of scoring critical hits on the player.

The storyline in Jedi Knight follows Kyle Katarn, who first appeared in Dark Forces. Katarn's father had been murdered by a Dark Jedi over the location of "The Valley of the Jedi" and the game follows Katarn's attempts to find the Valley and confront his father's killers.

Unreal is a first-person shooter video game developed by Epic MegaGames, Digital Extremes, and Legend Entertainment and published by GT Interactive in May 1998. It was powered by an original game engine that bears the game's name, and had been in development for over three years in founder Tim Sweeney's garage before the game was released.
Since the release of Unreal, the franchise has had one sequel and two different series based on the Unreal universe. One official bonus pack, the Epic-released Fusion Map Pack, can be downloaded free of charge. Unreal Mission Pack: Return to Na Pali was released in June 1999, and added 17 new missions to the single player campaign of Unreal. Unreal and Return to Na Pali would later be bundled together as Unreal Gold. Additionally, the games were updated to run on the Unreal Tournament version of the game engine.

The player takes the roles of Miami Police Department detectives Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey over alternating levels. The game contains five acts, each containing several levels.

《生化危机5》于2005年7月12日由CAPCOM公司正式宣布开发PlayStation 3版本，其后表示Xbox 360 版本将会同时开发，本作为PS3/X360双平台版本。PS3/X360游戏发售日为2009年3月5日（日版、港版）

Tux Racer is a 2000 open-source winter sports racing video game starring the Linux mascot, Tux the penguin. It was originally developed by Jasmin Patry as a computer graphics project in a Canadian university.

Centuries ago, the planet was bestowed the seven Chaos Emeralds. These emeralds were a source of unlimited power, and consequently it did not take long before wars broke out over who would control the Chaos Emeralds. There was also a Master Emerald, which was the controller of the Chaos Emeralds and could either negate or amplify the Chaos Emerald's power. One of the chao living near the shrine of the Emeralds accidentally made contact with the holy water in the shrine and mutated to become a peaceful creature that could use the power of water called Chaos and became the guardian of the rest of the chaos there. Later on, a tribe of echidnas, led by Pachamac, angered Chaos by attempting to steal the Chaos Emeralds, ruining the sanctuary it was protecting and attempted a mass massacre on the chao living there. They were all but completely destroyed within a single night and Chaos, in his fury, used the negative power of the Chaos Emeralds to transform into Perfect Chaos and slaughtered all the echidnas. Pachamac's daughter, Tikal, had pleaded with Pachamac but he refused to listen to her. Tikal then prayed to the Master Emerald after Perfect Chaos had left to destroy the entire world to seal herself with Chaos inside the Master Emerald.
