In his later years, Rosanjin is visited by Yoneko, a young journalist from a publishing company. Although Yoneko is taken aback by Rosanjin's arrogant attitude, she finds herself frequently visiting his home to dictate his memoirs. As she witnesses his interactions with many famous people, including Shigeru Yoshida, Isamu Noguchi, and Rockefeller III, Yoneko comes to realize that, contrary to his words, Rosanjin sees cooking as a form of beauty, rejects all compromises, and strives to perfect it.

In 2015, four years after the Great East Japan Earthquake, the people of Futaba Town in Fukushima Prefecture, forced to continue to live scattered in evacuation destinations, are concerned about the preservation of their traditional "Bon Uta". However, during this difficult time, they find that the tradition of Bon Odori (Bon dance) has been inherited by people who had immigrated to Hawaii from Fukushima over 100 years ago. The people of Futaba headed to Maui, Hawaii to perform Bon Uta. The documentary follows their journey as they bravely work to preserve their cultural heritage and pass it down to future generations, all while holding onto hope for the continuation of their tradition. As the story unfolds, the "Bon Uta" not only becomes a way for the people of Futaba to share their heritage, but it also unveils the roots of those who have been living away from their homeland. Directed by NAKAE Yuji, who also runs Sakurazaka Theater, the film vibrantly captures the richness of Futaba Town's traditional performing arts, the music of Hawaii's Bon dance and their backgrounds.

１９６５年、「円谷特技プロダクション」を沖縄出身の上原正三が訪れる。待っていたのは脚本家であり、故郷の同胞・金城哲夫だ。金城は、天才的発想で『ウルトラＱ』の脚本を執筆していた。やがて円谷一らを中心に、若い監督たちが集結し、『ウルトラマン』を創りだす。沖縄の日本復帰が近づくなか、金城と上原は二人が交わした「ヤマトゥーンカイ、マキティナイミ！（日本人に負けるな）」の言葉を胸に、それぞれの道を歩みだす。

Hotel Hibiscus is the story of one very young energetic girl named Mieko and her international family who live in Okinawa. They live in a run down old hotel called Hotel Hibiscus with only one room for rent.

Nanako returns to her hometown on the tiny island of Aguni to meet her grandmother Nabbie. However, when Nanako's ferry arrives, it is also carrying Nabbie's former lover, who has returned to Aguni after a long absence.
