Three friends who had plenty of fun while in college end up living bothersome lives after marriage; they are held down by family traditions and customs; when they meet again, they decide to go back to their old ways while their husbands are away.

Chaos ensues when two brothers, Dhananjay and Shantanu, force two friends to pose as their wives as their landlady allows only married couples as tenants.

Guna is a village labourer in the hinterlands of Maharashtra. Holding a passion for the 'tamasha' theatre shows, he decides to start his own troupe. Instead of the prestigious role of the king he always dreamed of, he ends up having to play a 'nachya', an effeminate, homosexual man.
