review
What makes Warcraft 3 a classic is not necessarily its near-perfect map design, addictive RPG elements, beautiful graphics and music, or its well-paced, well-written and well-directed campaign. But rather that on top of all that it served as a platform for endless creativity in the form of custom maps, some of which changed the gameplay to the point of being a different genre, and one (we all know which one) ended up inventing a whole new genre that at least for a few years grabbed all the attention of the video game industry.
