a review of 星际探索
I know that a year ago I wouldn't be able to truly appreciate this movie. I'm glad that the events I went through have happened. Anybody, who goes into this looking for hard sci-fi, will probably be disappointed, as the movie is not very scientifically accurate. But if you wanna watch a personal journey about loneliness, son-father relationships, obsessions and the meaning of life, you've come to the right place. In fact, I would suggest to look at space metaphorically. The protagonist isn't traveling through the solar system, he's overcoming the space between him and his father, as well as fighting his personal demons. What manifests in material form often has direct connection to the protagonist's psyche and what he's going through. The experience of watching this was magnificent. The cinematography and the music are so beautiful, I wished some shots were just a little longer. I think I'll forever remember this viewing.
