To #Fedle German users, umlauts are now expanded (ä -> ae, ö -> oe, ü -> ue) instead of being stripped. Words are now recognizable (Lügner -> LUEGNER, not LUGNER).
A new word has been published.
Thanks for the feedback!

#UntrackMe 2.0 reached F-Droid today after nearly 4 years of inactivity.
#Fedle reached more than 2k games played on the #Fediverse (I didn't expect that for a dev for fun).
Thank you for using them :)
When I created #Fedle, it was mostly for fun. A #Wordle game across instances. Now it has reached more than 10k games played across the #Fediverse in six languages.
Each day, we play as a family, a small ritual where the children try to guess the daily word.
If you want to know more, follow @Fedle. In its bio there are links to bots to play in your language. And maybe you can help your instance climb to the top:
Fedle just passed 3000 games played across the #Fediverse.
Over 100 instances on the leaderboard, players guessing daily words in English, French, Spanish, Italian and German.
Thanks to everyone who plays, translates the interface, and shares the game. This only works because of you.

Welcome to #Fedle, a Wordle-like game in English and French. We hope more languages will follow soon.
This account is dedicated to announcements about the game and its bots.
The service currently runs two bots: @Fedle_en (EN) and @Fedle_fr (FR). Their messages are fully automated.
The rules are available here: https://fedle.fedilab.app/about
You can browse past games and see per-game details here: https://fedle.fedilab.app/history
You can also check the instance leaderboard here: https://fedle.fedilab.app/leaderboard
The next word will come soon (12:00 UTC) in English (@Fedle_en) and French (@Fedle_fr).
Follow the bot to play, and help your instance climb the leaderboard.
Currently, two instances are listed: mastodon.social and piaille.fr

#Fedle source code is now available on #Codeberg.
https://codeberg.org/tom79/Fedle
It is a daily word game for the #Fediverse that currently supports English and French.
I added a small doc explaining how to submit a new language, which will be automated by a bot once validated.

Fedle is really new in the Fediverse but you're more than welcome to join the game. Keep sharing :)
Main account: @Fedle
Now four instances on the #Fedle leaderboard:
https://fedle.fedilab.app/leaderboard
I got some feedback that I'll apply. Instead of having the bot create a new DM for every guess, you'll be able to ask it to update its original DM. This will be saved as a setting. That will be done through a command such as "mode update", or "mode create" to revert.
The bot already supports commands like "delete my data". English always works, and translated commands are also supported.
RE: https://toot.fedilab.app/@apps/116404450090749459
#Fedle has been running for several days now. I'll be working on several things:
- Improving word suggestions (probably the trickiest part)
- A leaderboard for instances with fewer than 5 players
- Training mode: ask the bot for a new word that only you will play
#Fedle has been improved:
- You can now train yourself by mentioning the bot with "train". See: https://fedle.fedilab.app/about
- The leaderboard has been redesigned to better represent participating instances: https://fedle.fedilab.app/leaderboard
- Suggested words are now easier, closer to Wordle-style suggestions (French and English).
Now #Fedle should be more fun to play, without the frustration of obscure words. The vocabulary is now more commonly used.
You can train yourself just by asking the bot. Don't hesitate to share so the competition between instances becomes more lively :)

RE: https://toot.fedilab.app/@apps/116483951124966281
Should #Fedle add a player leaderboard (overall + per language), alongside the existing instance ranking?
Following the recommendations I got, I set up a #NodeBB forum to discuss the projects #Fedilab, #Holos, #CastLab and #Fedle.
Each category federates over #ActivityPub, so you can follow it directly from your Fediverse account: @fedilab, @holos, @castlab, @fedle.
More details: https://forum.fedilab.app/post/2
More than 10,000 games have been played with #Fedle on the #Fediverse. Congratulations to mamot.fr, norden.social and kolektiva.social, the top three instances of the week.
#Fedle received several fixes.
- Spanish now treats Ñ as its own letter, and its dictionary has been improved.
- It also fixes federation issues for #Misskey and #Sharkey.
- Announcements and results now have a dedicated tag per language, like #Fedle_es, #Fedle_en etc.
#Fedle is a daily word game on the #Fediverse.
