Last month, job boards for actors were flooded with ads looking for people to record โconversations, character voices, and natural speech to help train AI systems," for a project by Microsoft. Payment was orders of magnitude more than a normal acting gig โ up to $80,000, where a national ad campaign for a big brand might ordinarily pay $6,000. @404mediaco's Rosie Thomas spoke to voice actors about the "Faustian bargain" of accepting such roles. "You're still taking away tomorrow's meal because they're offering you a little bit more,โ says Katie Clark Gray.

Are we finally getting a proper Justice Gang, I mean, Justice League movie soon? I sure hope so. I want to see my favourite DC character Green Lantern in action (the other ones are The Flash and Supergirl).

Tomorrow, October 1st, 2025 I'm starting the first edition of #Kaijuktober #Film Festival (#KFF)! During October, I'll be watching one #kaiju #movie every day. My plan for this year is to watch every movie from the #Toho #Showa era โ around 25 movies. I'll probably be tooting about KFF daily instead of doing my usual weekly recap.
I start tomorrow with the original Godzilla (1954). Can't wait!

If you want historical accuracy in fictionโespecially in the alternate reality genreโgo watch documentaries or read an encylopedia.
A respectable complaint and/or a true criticism of an alternate reality fiction revolves around internal consistency and plausibility.
Demanding historical accuracy in alternate reality fictionโor any fiction for that matterโdefeats the purpose of #fiction.
