fireworks
I went to see the #fireworks in #montreal tonight. We have a fireworks festival that goes all summer; 1-2 fireworks shows per week. They close the big bridge at the centre of town so people can watch from the bridge. Right after these pictures three girls walked up to me and yelled over the noise: "EXCUSE ME SIR DO YOU KNOW IF THE FIREWORKS HAVE STARTED YET?" Genius comedy, absolutely no notes.

Q: What did the little firecracker say to the bigger firecracker?
A: "Hi, Pop!"
Q: Why did the firecracker go to the hair salon?
A: It wanted to have shorter bangs.

![Meme with two line drawings of tube-shaped characters with lines coming out of their tops.
One has a hand in what is supposed to be his ear, and his other hand with a match lighting the top of the line above his head. His eyes are clenched closed, as if he is expecting to get scared.
The other is standing next to him and says, "Knock it off, stupid. We're tampons."

We're home again now. 300 miles of cycling in a week probably doesn't seem like much to some people, but I'm pleased to be able to still do it in my 70s. Anyway, the good people of Roscoff put on a fine firework display to mark our achievement - although they said it was laid on to celebrate the end of European Heritage Weekend... 😉
