"Universities and research institutions leave Platform X (formerly Twitter): United for diversity, freedom and science
"Over 60 German-speaking universities and research institutions have decided to take a stand and collectively announce their decision to cease activities on Platform X (formerly Twitter). This withdrawal comes in response to the platform's current direction, which is incompatible with the core values of the participating institutions: openness to the world, scientific integrity, transparency, and democratic discourse. …"
"Leeds becomes first Russell Group university to quit X … Elon Musk’s social media site “no longer aligns with our university values” …"
"University of Brighton, University of Sussex, and other like-minded institutions should – now – be at the UK forefront of what began in Germany. … Now. Do the right thing. Please."

Friends of mine are running this amazing project, A(fro)TOPOS: https://afrotopos.com/ (#French and #German; communication in #English is totally fine!) If you'd like to visit, receive news, or if you're an #artist, or a group of #artists, interested in a #residency in #Yaoundé, #Cameroon, or in #Osnabrück, #Germany, drop them a line! The idea is to work #together at a level of #equity, dealing with the deep wounds of #colonialism, filling #spaces yet unknown.

Bring back Ngonnso
"A 2023 research article estimates that 40,000 objects from Cameroon are in German museums, a far cry from the roughly 6,000 pieces in the state collections in Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon. The artifacts in Germany consist of musical instruments, ritual masks, textiles, manuscripts, weapons, and tools, many of which were acquired through violent raids."

#caddisfly larvae everywhere. They are interesting insects. They live for a year or more in the water. There they are astonishing architects for their cases.
If you look close, you can see a lot of Hydras on the pondweed. They are indeed special creatures. They are not ageing and don't die of age! They regenerate all the time. Very small but also very exceptional 🤩!

In Germany, social media algorithms are pumping out huge amounts of far-right, pro-AfD content.
A new study found that, on TikTok Twitter, nearly 3/4 of all partisan content being pushed algorithmically to German users favored the party best known for its ties to neo-Nazis.

Diving with best buddy and photographer Jens 🥰.
I swear, I can hear him thinking underwater...there's some form of wireless connection after more than 700 dives together.
Perhaps we've passed the point of no return of getting dive-freaky 🙃.
