how do experienced language learners out there read books in their target language?
I'm reading "Le otto montagne". Understand what's going on, missing many nuances I'm sure, along with new vocab I just skim over.
And yet if I go back and try to make a note of and actively learn some of that vocab, it slows me down so much I lose interest.
What's the best reading strategy to make it both interesting but also "active"?
