Twee jongens met gestolen wieldoppen in Mexico-Stad, Ed van der Elsken, 1960

![The image captures a bustling street scene from what appears to be the mid-20th century. Two young boys are crossing the road, one carrying a tray and the other holding a plate with food items on it. They seem focused on their task of delivering or selling something that could potentially earn them some money for their family.
The surroundings include an array of parked cars from what looks like the 1950s to early '60s era, indicating this photo might have been taken during those decades. On the right side stands a building with multiple signs; prominently displayed is one advertising "Diesel" parts, suggesting it could be an automotive repair or sales shop.
In the background, there's another establishment that reads as though it deals in tires and perhaps other auto-related items, indicated by rows of large circular objects hanging on the wall. The street has tram tracks running through it, pointing to a city with public transportation infrastructure.
The overall atmosphere is busy yet ordinary for what seems like an urban working-class environment. It's important to note that while this image captures a slice-of-life moment in Mexico City during 1960s, any further interpretation or speculation about the individuals' experiences would be speculative and not based on concrete evidence from the photo itself.
