I sort of gave up on this awhile ago, but there's a lot of nerds here so I thought I'd ask: can anyone find a minecraft seed with just a description of around where structures are and other surrounding information? There was a world very dear to me, but my friend that was hosting got bored, deleted it, and refused to give me the seed. I'd do anything to see my village again.

Well, scrolling through my own posts & realizing that I've hardly said anything *me* lately, just reposted a lot. Sorry y'all. I know I never promised you Brilliant Wit And Sparkle✨™, but all repost and no OG content makes Court a dull girl, &c., &c.

So. #StatusUpdate portion of the evening:

I just haven't had much extra to give to anybody lately. That's partly my own fault, because I've been spending most of my spare time chasing supereasy dopamine hits. Mainly in the form of #Minecraft.

I have never really put down the rates I have for software development contracting work and seeing as I'm back being fully self-employed due to getting laid off last year I thought I should finally do that. (I offer a 50% discount for any work done on open source projects!)

More info here: https://blog.phoenix616.dev/posts/contracting (I am also open for more long term contracts, ideally in the open source or gaming industry.)

If you want to just support my open-source work then you can also do that through a direct tip here: https://phoenix616.dev/tip

working on a beta-inspired modpack except it's based on the latest version of Minecraft 26.1.2

wishlist of things I wanna add but don't currently exist:
- a good stamina mod (there is two, but they're both datapacks; I'd like something more "native"; basically I want StaminaZ for 26.1.x)
- "programmer art" textures for some more mods; Golden Days Modded Support is great, but currently mostly covers mods that aren't on this version. Mods that are on this version tend to use the newer style of textures
- more stuff I forgot?

but yea I'm experimenting and seeing where I wanna take this, keep y'all posted :)

Delver's Realm 0.99.9.1-testing was released earlier today and I just released 0.99.9.1.1-testing, a hotfix for an oversight I made with the torch API.

Release notes for 0.99.9.1-testing:

This is the first in a series of stable release candidates for Delver's Realm.

What's New

• The HUD has been updated significantly to a dark theme and experience is now a different color (hint, maybe experience is going to change more soon).
• There are now biome specific mobs including frogs, elephants, capybaras, seals, vultures, and polar bears! Beware of sharks and evil snowmen!
• The torch API has been overhauled to include unlit variants. You can now place the unlit torches and light them with tinderboxes or firestarter group items such as flint & steel.
• There are now ambient sounds provided by a fork of ambient_sounds mod by n0re5 (dr_ambient_sounds). This adds appropriate sounds to Delver's Realm's biomes and dimensions.
• You can now carve melons the same way as a pumpkin and make melon lanterns.
• Added cheese blocks for storing cheese (but also for that one guy who likes making cheese sculptures).
• Documentation now includes a section on dimensions/portals and the usage of flight tools such as parachutes and jetpacks.

Bug Fixes / Misc. Changes / Removals

• Condensed and changed main menu backgrounds. The text at the footer has been updated.
• Fixed zombie giants spawn (a bug in their spawn definition was preventing them from ever spawning)
• Reimplemented stone beaches as stone plains, this fixes an empty biome bug.
• Removed humidity and heat points from dimension specific biomes. This fixes an empty biome bug.
• Deepslate tools have been removed from smithing tables for the time being due to them having a different handle.
• Fixed mobs only spawning on ice in snow biomes
• Fixed ocelot spawn
• Implemented commits from Mineclonia to make the offhand wield smoother and also visible on player models.
• Implemented commit from VoxeLibre fixing minecart positions on slopes
• Adjust various small tidbits missing or not functioning on existing mobs
• Railguns now have a more sensible but still expensive crafting recipe
• Strongboxes now require unobtanium to craft
• Lectern model has been updated to look more fitting
• Lighter dirt texture than regular dirt on Welkin grass has been fixed
• Cods are renamed to generic fish
• Reduce the loudness of the jukebox track Jazz Heaven
• Cleaned up mcl_campfire code
