Hello All - it's time for another album and this one is called "Contemplations".
The back story for this is long and complex but in short the album is a set of linked, but different musical rhythms interspersed with interludes. If you want the full story then it is available by download with the purchase of the album or by being a subscriber to my mailshot.
You can subscribe here and this is also where my links to the music can be found:
https://samantha-j-smith.kit.com/landing
Of course Tier 1 members on #mirlo get the album for free.
It's available on #bandcamp #mirlo #jamcoop and #subvert_fm as well as #soundcloud and #fairplayer for those that stream.
A short preview of one of the poems is given here.
Enjoy, Sammi

In case you missed it earlier, we're testing fundraiser functionality on the site and we thought we'd try it out with a donation page to help get Mirlo and some of the artists on our platform to Americanafest!
We're looking to roll this out to everyone in the near future, giving artists the option to crowdfund for releases, tours, etc. 🧳🐦⬛

Welcome to the submission thread for the November edition of #FairtradeMusicFriday.
As always, submit your own release or someone else's, it can be by #FediMusicians or not, hosted on #Bandcamp, #Faircamp, #JamCoop, #Mirlo or #SelfHosted, as long as it is by an #IndieArtist - it doesn't even need to be new.
Just make a direct public comment (with a link & description) to this post and it will appear at https://isitfairtrademusicfri.day automagically!
Why not make a muso's day and buy/boost their stuff 💙
I have linked my catalog of music on #Mirlo to #Fairplayer so it is now available at
https://fairplayer.band/player/artist/samantha-j-smith@mirlo.space
I really want #Fairplayer to succeed so I can finally get away from using #Soundcloud for those who prefer to stream. In the long run I hope it will benefit all by allowing musicians to get properly paid for their work.
Thanks to everyone at #Mirlo and #Faiplayer.

🖖New album day!
Hello folks!
This is part three of the tetralogy of albums I've been working on this year. I was hoping to release the next and final part in September, but that may have to slip as we have decided to sell our home of 21 years and move a bit further west. Fun!

We're going to put together a resource for musicians on how they can have album art without using large language models. Do you have any resources you'd like to see in that? Free image libraries? Friends who can help do design? Basic how-tos?

Okay, a couple of fun things I'm working on for #unstream right now:
- true artist pages & a process to claim them
- artist page customization - curate your platform links, add a bio, add a featured release
- embeds
- a simple directory of verified indie artists
