New Album Release on my #Faircamp site: "Sonic Sketches Volume One"
This is a compilation of interesting bits and bobs that I've posted to #SoundCloud over the past year.
#introductions
Thought i'd give the #fediverse another go. I'm an #occupationaltherapist living in #cornwall. I work in #mentalhealth and also do #autism assessments. I'm a keen amateur photographer mostly taking photos with my phone at the moment. I'd love to connect with people on here. My interests are #photography #music #reading #books #walking #countryside #nature #mentalhealth #autism #adhd #neurodivergence #scandinavia #dogs #animals #antifascist #environment

Find the spare key for your combine harvester (if John Deere will even let you have one), and pull on your wellies, because #ThePlaylist, along with @RolloTreadway is off:
Farming the land
Yes, in another guest theme, this week we're looking at the songs that popped into the collective, diseased minds of #ThePlaylist listeners when asked to consider the countryside. Are any of them even about farming?
#TheArchive - https://djdarren.site/archive/podcast/theplaylist-112-farming-the-land/
Listen! Enjoy! Tell all your friend!

Yesterday I sang my last Der kleine Prinz, Pierangelo Valtinoni‘s children‘s opera «Il piccolo principe» in German. A kind soul took this short clip of me as La Vanitosa/The Vain Lady/Die Eitle!

Call me a big huge nerd, but I love how-it’s-made videos. 🤓 And I especially love videos showing vinyl records being pressed. And I especially, especially love a video showing our new 80s kids album being pressed! Eeeeeee!
We just got this video from Waxwork Records, where earlier this week that Pac-Man splatter design that we dreamed up came to life. Can you even believe how cool this is??

Interesting. I can do this (although I am not really a metalhead)...
Most of the Metal I listen to is either DOOM or Kawaii...

Woah, last weekend I presented two evenings of almost non-stop music in the Temple of Italian songwriting, the Club Tenco headquarters. It was incredible to introduce on-stage talented and marvellous human beings who performed awesome music.
Club Tenco is one of those sacred institutions with an incredible history that, unfortunately, are dying because of the lack of young participants.
Since 2017, I am one of the only five under-50 members of the association, and it’s saddening, but also it makes our involvement so special! I am glad the @scambi team (fourth picture) is joining the resistance. If it’s happening, it’s thanks to my wonderful friend Francesco Maccario, a grumpy yet committed Club Tenco member who valued our participation since we were 17, and who now still fights for our voice as young members to be heard.
This is the stuff I love.
Not caring about huge stages nor big crowds, fucking the capitalistic and empty music industry, resisting by still listening to the words in a song, by getting together despite everything and listening to/making/playing music. A bit like what @radiofreefedi and @musicbrainz represent in the digital domain.
Please read the alt text for more context about the pictures.
(I am sorry there are mostly pictures of me, but these are the only ones they sent me. I am egocentric, yes, but not that much 😬)

“an iceberg. you’ve got a fun, flirty, smolder of a vibe when people meet you initially. then after getting to talk with you people see that you’ve got way more going on under the surface of the water”
i upload my photography as creative commons attribution license, i don't own a car, i have a #cat named Loki who i post about under the #catsofmastodon tag, i'm #divorced after a 14 year marriage (not the outcome i wanted, but here i am), and now happily in relationships as a relationship anarchist.
