I just posted a new music video! I hope you like it!
Felon
Ok. I’m gonna pin this over Xmas.
I like Christmas music, but hate the fact we only hear the same songs all the damn time. There are loads of good ones that you almost never hear. I’ve been compiling a playlist for a while now, and you can access it here:
Apple Music: https://music.apple.com/gb/playlist/swisslets-xmas/pl.u-XkD0jDRsk6PLJ
Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6QBR5hENabzLVFwj2GaZqX?si=1Tbv8YBESeqK9-nVUvYu9w&pi=sj3XCxZIRXq6n
I’m always in the market for suggestions too, so fire away.
Was looking for more African music, since it's the continent I know least about musically and I've recently become a fan of Songhoy Blues.
Anyways, I'm enjoying stuff like this too:
And if anyone has any recommendations, preferably active/modern or semi-modern bands and musicians.

New #Faircamp Release: "Melody 1: Sunstorm Rainshine"
This is the new track off of my upcoming 'Well-Tempered Deluge' album. It arose from my efforts to learn Song Mode on the #Deluge.
This one has a nice 70s vibe without sounding too BoC-y. I kept the warbling to a minimum. LOL

As I always see people sharing links to Spotify, Apple Music and other services directly, I want to mention Odesli for a second.
It's also known as Songlink, as it generates links like this.
And also as Albumlink, as it generates links like this.
https://album.link/i/1528027446
It can also do links for albums and podcasts.
It only takes a few seconds to generate but saves everyone a lot of time.
Odesli will generate a page that links to all possible music services where the song, album or artist can be found. Including services that aren't that mainstream.
So maybe you can take the time the next time you want to share an album or song and generate a more accessible link for everyone. 😊
Got my new blues tune up. Guitars are Telecaster (L) and Danelectro 59M through the EHX B9 organ pedal (R). Bass is Fender p-bass. Harp is Hohner Special 20 B flat. I’m capo’d at the first fret on guitars, and through Keeley compressor. Harp and Tele are both through MXR Timmy. Drums are MT Power Drum kit sampler. I also tracked a Latin percussion shaker. Mics are Apex 550 for vocals and an Apex 327 for harp. Inspiration for the song came from Dylan’s version of Axe and the Wind. #music #blues #guitar #bass #recording #war #songwriting #gearsquad https://youtu.be/72GYFodn9M0

A finger cajon nearing completion, my latest mini-project.
The standard cajon is a fairly large box-shaped instrument originated by African slaves in Peru who were denied traditional drums & resorted to shipping crates to get rhythmic. One sits on top and slaps, taps, etc. – most have snare drum wire mounted within for added sonic brightness & texture.
Handmade from 1/4" pine, bamboo mini-skewers & wood glue.

Woah, last weekend I presented two evenings of almost non-stop music in the Temple of Italian songwriting, the Club Tenco headquarters. It was incredible to introduce on-stage talented and marvellous human beings who performed awesome music.
Club Tenco is one of those sacred institutions with an incredible history that, unfortunately, are dying because of the lack of young participants.
Since 2017, I am one of the only five under-50 members of the association, and it’s saddening, but also it makes our involvement so special! I am glad the @scambi team (fourth picture) is joining the resistance. If it’s happening, it’s thanks to my wonderful friend Francesco Maccario, a grumpy yet committed Club Tenco member who valued our participation since we were 17, and who now still fights for our voice as young members to be heard.
This is the stuff I love.
Not caring about huge stages nor big crowds, fucking the capitalistic and empty music industry, resisting by still listening to the words in a song, by getting together despite everything and listening to/making/playing music. A bit like what @radiofreefedi and @musicbrainz represent in the digital domain.
Please read the alt text for more context about the pictures.
(I am sorry there are mostly pictures of me, but these are the only ones they sent me. I am egocentric, yes, but not that much 😬)
