Hey now, what's this? A new #kleptones Golden Hour mix, No.10 no less, full of fine summertime soulful tech sounds. Some classy edits from folks like Supertaste, Haverdi and Gledd rub shoulders with tunes from Dam Swindle, Mele and Blood, Wine or Honey (amongst others) and the end result is rather pleasing, if we do say so ourselves. Give it a go, why don't you?

Rated Live at the Regal 10/10
Generally speaking, I can't stand live albums, but very rarely are they *this* good. A blistering set by the legendary blues man, the production here is stunning, and the crowd are every bit as much a part of the experience. This is old school blues with the intensity cranked up a notch, and you can almost feel the sweat dripping from the ceiling.Best songs: Everyday I Have The Blues, Please Love Me, Worry WorryVinylhttps://songport.link/t/bb-king-live-at-the-regal-ogjtdifl

I've been listening to Dan Maraya on repeat today.
When I was growing up in Jos, #Nigeria, back in the 80s we only had 1 TV channel. Before transmission started at 4pm it'd show videos of a skinny guy playing a banjo and singing in Hausa.
That was Dan Maraya (dan in Hausa means 'of', maybe a little like 'Mac'). To be clear, I hated his music back then; I was into hip-hop. But today, I'm finding it comforting and nostalgic.

A finger cajon nearing completion, my latest mini-project.
The standard cajon is a fairly large box-shaped instrument originated by African slaves in Peru who were denied traditional drums & resorted to shipping crates to get rhythmic. One sits on top and slaps, taps, etc. – most have snare drum wire mounted within for added sonic brightness & texture.
Handmade from 1/4" pine, bamboo mini-skewers & wood glue.

it's been quite a while, so lemme write a new #intro
i'm raven, a silly #transgirl on the internet who likes to write, and create free-to-use #photography (mostly landscapes). u can find me on mastodon, and see what an overview of what i’m up to on my now page. i have so many interests and try my best to experience new things in this short life. some sort of neurospicy, tend to be overly genuine, a bit corny, over-opinionated at times

“chaotic af, kinda scatter brained, but smart if that makes sense”
“very direct and able to be vulnerable very easily (a good thing!) and the most ethically-minded and community-focused person ive met!”
“an iceberg. you’ve got a fun, flirty, smolder of a vibe when people meet you initially. then after getting to talk with you people see that you’ve got way more going on under the surface of the water”
i upload my photography as creative commons attribution license, i don't own a car, i have a #cat named Loki who i post about under the #catsofmastodon tag, i'm #divorced after a 14 year marriage (not the outcome i wanted, but here i am), and now happily in relationships as a relationship anarchist.
