12 years ago, a little lost Peach-faced Lovebird blown from her home by Hurricane Isaac was found challenging a native Mockingbird (not a smart move) in the Biloxi Back Bay-- Mockingbird knocked her down & her rescuer brought her to me...

Here she is right now, happily grooming her sweetheart, 28-year-old white-faced Cockatiel Boobear

An older green lovebird (you can tell she's older because some of her green is turning yellow) is grooming the crest and nape of a white-faced Cockatiel. His eyes are closed in bliss. Her eyes sparkles with energy and intention. These are my two small rescue birds, Boobear the Cockatiel & Nyota the Lovebird. Photo by Peachfront. Sept 8, 2024.

This is Harper, she looks thoughtful. 🐾🐈
She recently went for an examination because her belly and thighs lost fur. The most likely diagnosis is psychogenic alopecia. That means Harper is stressed. You can understand her - she has been waiting for a home for about five years. The kitty is a bit shy, but she allows petting and loves other cats.
