二刷，看似导演只是把9个洛杉矶中产（其实也有分化）家庭的故事揉在一块然后让观众自行取舍，但是很多镜头都带有导演的主观色彩，特别是给水中的尸体长镜头和推镜头。剪辑方面总是有很多小暗示，玛丽安在第一次提到michel Anderson之后路过一幅画，已经暗示她的出轨。去中心化的叙事保证了各组人物的相对独立，因此看到了形形色色的生活。最后一场地震重新串起9组家庭，不过都是生活的囚徒。

旁征博引的讽刺自己所在的行业还有谁啊，有种黑色版《午夜巴黎》的感觉，开学一定要开一个奥特曼的专题
开篇长镜头不必多说，90s好莱坞风情画；Griffin口中一切大卖元素本片都有出现，悬疑、暴力、裸露、性以及happy ending；同样富有导演个人风格，以其独特方式打破第四堵墙（就是像MASH最后、Nashville开头那样影中影，不知道能不能算作第四堵墙）；许多电影海报也是经典，不过稍微感觉有点不太恰当没怎么get 到，也许也可以放在“电影中拍电影”单元放映

差一点点到4星，第一次见识到考里斯马基的打光，配色和舞台剧似的构图与“僵硬”的表演，却讲述了一个法国底层人民温情故事，好人有好报（可是我看着总感觉在讽刺，肯定是误解导演了，时代背景也不一样了）

以民谣代替旁白，加一星；奥特曼经典镜头，摇镜与特写，加一星；gambler&smoker(也许不太地道)共同创业，小资本家被大（垄断）资本家威胁，体现frontier的现实与创业精神，正是美国20世纪初前后崛起的动力来源之一；教堂被烧，McCabe也不是天主教徒，一心想把钱赚、不顾旧道德是否正好映射了新教伦理；最后三位牛仔被一个新时代的商人杀掉，也许暗示无法无天的时代的终结，正好和那位律师想的一样，维护美国建国之基础，但是也有讽刺之处，妓院和赌场也是当时的合法产业并且被人尊敬，well..；最后大雪纷飞也是颇具诗意
