It became Robert Fripp's last thoughts on this version of the band, a bit noiser overall but with some surprising sounds featured, mostly out of the group's past -- Mel Collins' and Ian McDonald's saxes, Marc Charig's cornet, and Robin Miller's oboe, thus providing a glimpse of what the 1972-era King Crimson might've sounded like handling the later group's repertory (which nearly happened). Indeed, Charig's cornet gets just about the best showcase it ever had on a King Crimson album, and the truth is that few intact groups could have gotten an album as good as Red together. The fact that it was put together by a band in its death throes makes it all the more impressive an achievement. Indeed, Red does improve in some respects on certain aspects of the previous album -- including "Starless," a cousin to the prior album's title track -- and only the lower quality of the vocal compositions keeps this from being as strongly recommended as its two predecessors. Red was reissued on CD in the summer of 2000 in a remastered edition that features killer sound and an excellent booklet, containing a good account of the circumstances surrounding the recording of this album.

Rising (also known as Rainbow Rising)[2] is the second studio album by the British rock band Rainbow, released in 1976. In issue 4 of Kerrang! magazine (cover-dated October 1981), Rising was voted the greatest heavy metal album of all time.[3] In 2017, it was ranked 48th at Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time".

Physical Graffiti is the sixth studio album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released on 24 February 1975 as a double album. Recording sessions for the album were initially disrupted when bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones considered leaving the band. After reuniting at Headley Grange, the band wrote and recorded eight songs, the combined length of which stretched the album beyond the typical length of an LP. This prompted the band to make Physical Graffiti a double album by including previously unreleased tracks from earlier recording sessions.

A Space in Time is the seventh album by the British blues rock band, Ten Years After. It was released in August 1971 by Chrysalis Records in the United Kingdom and Columbia Records in America. A departure in style from their previous albums, A Space in Time is less 'heavy' than previous albums and includes more acoustic guitar, perhaps influenced by the success of Led Zeppelin who were mixing acoustic songs with heavier numbers. The album also contains their biggest hit, "I'd Love To Change The World", the third track on the album. Although this was their biggest hit they rarely played it live.

Houses of the Holy is the fifth studio album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released by Atlantic Records on 28 March 1973. The album title is a dedication by the band to their fans who appeared at venues they dubbed "Houses of the Holy". It was the second Led Zeppelin album to not officially be titled after the band. It was also the first of the band's albums to be composed of completely original material. It represents a musical turning point for Led Zeppelin, as they began to use more layering and production techniques in recording their songs.

The fourth album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin was released on 8 November 1971. No title is printed on the album, so it is generally referred to as Led Zeppelin IV, following the naming standard used by the band's first three studio albums.

For many aficionados of the creative rock music that surfaced in the heady days of the late 60's / early 70's, the bands who surfaced from the English provincial city of Canterbury produced some of the most consistently interesting music of that period. Of all the groups to emerge from the so-called "Canterbury Scene" (the existence of which many of its main protagonists deny), none were quite so original and so enduring as Caravan. In The Land of Grey & Pink was released to an unsuspecting world in 1971, appearing in Europe and Japan on Decca's progressive rock label Deram and in the USA on London Records The album packaging was the most lavish to grace a Caravan release to date, being the inaugural release in Deram's "deluxe" series. It featured a striking Tolkien-esque illustration and opened in a gatefold to reveal a glorious picture silhouette of the band larking around, marching single file in a field. Overall both the music within and the album sleeve created a stunning impression. A unique fusion of folk, jazz and rock; the album came to be regarded as one of Caravan's finest hours. Taking up a whole side of vinyl and chosen to close the album, the Nine Feet Underground suite provided a worthy successor to For Richard, proving to be one of the most popular tracks on the album and a concert favourite. It is often regarded as the seminal Caravan album and is in MOJO's bible top 500 albums of all time. This new Eclectic definitive version is remastered and comes housed in digipak format.
