Rattle That Lock is the fourth solo album by British musician David Gilmour. It is scheduled to be released on 18 September 2015. Gilmour will undertake a short tour of Europe in September and October 2015 to support the album, and a similar tour of the U.S. and Canada will follow in March and April 2016. There is also a South America tour scheduled for December 2015. The artwork for the album was created by Dave Stansbie under the direction of Aubrey Powell, who has worked with David Gilmour and Pink Floyd since the late 1960s

Blur have announced that they will release 'The Magic Whip', their first album in 12 years, on April 27. The band – Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree – made the announcement at press conference hosted by outgoing BBC Radio 1 presenter Zane Lowe at Chinese restaurant The Golden Phoenix in London's West End, which is ongoing at present. The album's producer, Stephen Street, also attended. Blur recorded an album's worth of material in five days in Hong Kong in May 2013. However, in an interview published by NME in July 2014, Damon Albarn said that because he likes to work in shorter, more concentrated periods of time he feared that he would never return to the tracks the band made while in Asia. "There are about 15 songs we recorded in Hong Kong," he said at the time. "The annoying thing is, if I'd been able to write the lyrics there and then about being there, we'd have finished the record. But sometimes, if you can't do it all at once, it dissipates really and I don't know what I'd sing about now with that record. There's some great tunes on there, but it may just be one of those records that never comes out."

Deep Purple are one of the most influential British rock bands of all time. With 120 million albums sold worldwide, they are one of the most loved British bands of all time. Recently inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame, they have inspired and shaped the taste of generations of hard rock musicians and fans with milestone albums like "In Rock" or "Machine Head" which are essential chapters in rock music history. Their live album "Made in Japan" is often referred as one of the best (if not "the best" live album of all times). "NOW What?!", released in 2013, brought Deep Purple back to the top of the charts worldwide. The tour that followed sold over a million tickets worldwide. The end, the allusion of the band's forthcoming tour name, a theme recurring in the songs and surely something that the band will be asked about. If this is really the farewell album by Deep Purple, there could not be a better one, or are they once again making fun of everybody? "Deep Purple's progressive album" - it's what a critic said after a recent private playback of the album. "We are an instrumental jazz band, with somebody occasionally singing on it," was Ian Gillan's reply. If this is the case, guitars haven't been harder for a jazz band, "inFinite" in fact shows also a side of Steve Morse that not everybody was expecting, melodic, raw, close to the roots of the blues rock. "InFinite" is heavy and delicate at the same time, with an inspired Ian Gillan who is totally free from the duty to sound as people expect, delivering a versatile and exciting vocal performance during the whole album.

Eight years after the release of Rapture Of The Deep, following many rumours later revealed to be unfounded, Deep Purple, one of the most important and influential British rock bands of all time, have confirmed the release of an album completely made of new studio material. After various songwriting sessions in Europe, the band recorded and mixed the album in Nashville with producer Bob Ezrin (in his impressive hit record: Pink Floyd's The Wall, Alice Cooper and many others). The album is rumoured to be the perfect match from the original spirit of 70s Purple, and a fresh and modern production. Ian Gillan has recently revealed a few working titles of songs that might appear on the album: “Out Of Hands”, “Uncommon Man” and “Hell to Pay”.

The first in the series of three new Deep Purple remastered discs from Friday Music, "Stormbringer" the hugely successful Deep Purple album, marks its first release to a North American audience, after being out of print for almost two decades. Recorded in 1974 as a follow-up to their multi- platinum release "Burn", Ritchie Blackmore, David Coverdale, Glenn Hughes, Ian Paice and Jon Lord forged ahead with a harder sound and continued their assault on audiences worldwide with "Stormbringer." With an apocalyptic entrance, the title track " Stormbringer" kicks the album into a full gear. Blackmore, known for creating some of the finest and most familiar riffs in music history, continues his legendary roll with this metal anthem. Coverdale notches up another career defining song as well, which has followed him through his amazing run with Deep Purple and his own successful arena band Whitesnake. Eight more incredible performances continue to thrill the listener including the Glenn Hughes melodic classic "Holy Man" and the rocking "Lady Double Dealer", which features the solid back beat of Ian Paice and Jon Lord, which became one of the more lasting tracks in their long list of fan favorites. The bluesy ballad "Soldier Of Fortune" showcases the strength of David Coverdale's writing and vocal ability, and is a fine close out to this sorely missed album. Led Zeppelin II is the second studio album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released in October 1969 on Atlantic Records. Recording sessions for the album took place at several locations in the United Kingdom and North America from January to August 1969. Production was entirely credited to lead guitarist and songwriter Jimmy Page, while it also served as Led Zeppelin's first album to utilise the recording techniques of engineer Eddie Kramer.

It followed quickly on the heels of the second record -- just by a matter of months; it was the second album they released in 1974 -- but it feels like it had a longer incubation period, so great is the progress here. Which isn't quite to say that Sheer Heart Attack is flawless -- it still has a tendency to meander, sometimes within a song itself, as when the killer opening "Brighton Rock" suddenly veers into long stretches of Brian May solo guitar -- but all these detours do not distract from the overall album, they're in many ways the key to the record itself: it's the sound of Queen stretching their wings and as they learn how to soar to the clouds. There's a genuine excitement in hearing all the elements to Queen's sound fall into place here, as the music grows grander and catchier without sacrificing their brutal, hard attack. One of the great strengths of the album is how all four members find their voice as songwriters, penning hooks that are big, bold, and insistent and crafting them in songs that work as cohesive entities instead of flourishes of ideas. This is evident not just in "Killer Queen" -- the first, best flourishing of Freddie Mercury's vaudevillian camp -- but also on the pummeling "Stone Cold Crazy," a frenzied piece of jagged metal that's all the more exciting because it has a real melodic hook. Those hooks are threaded throughout the record, on both the ballads and the other rockers, but it isn't just that this is poppier, it's that they're able to execute their drama with flair and style. There are still references to mystical worlds ("Lily of the Valley," "In the Lap of Gods") but there's not the fantasy does not overwhelm as it did on the first two records; the theatricality is now wielded on everyday affairs, which ironically makes them sound larger than life. And this sense of scale, combined with the heavy guitars, pop hooks and theatrical style, marks the true unveiling of Queen, making Sheer Heart Attack as the moment where they truly came into their own.
