Taking the stage at Woodstock, Santana was a little-known Latin rock group from San Francisco. When they walked off, they were an undeniable legend. The appearance was a perfect prologue to the debut, self-titled album that followed just weeks later. 1969 was an epic year Santana - their groundbreaking album and the performance at Woodstock would define them and their virtuosic guitarist, Carlos Santana, for years to come.

Frank Vincent Zappa was an American composer, singer-songwriter, electric guitarist, record producer, and film director. In a career spanning more than 30 years, Zappa wrote rock, jazz, electronic, orchestral, and musique concrète works. He also directed feature-length films and music videos, and designed album covers. Zappa produced almost all of the more than 60 albums he released with the band The Mothers of Invention and as a solo artist.

A possible source for the title is quoted by Patrick Humphries in his Nick Drake biography.
It's an excerpt from a novel, 'The Last Leaf', written by American writer O. Henry around the turn of the century. A young painter is dying of pneumonia, and what keeps her alive is the ivy growing in the yard outside:

Goodbye (also called Goodbye Cream) is the fourth and final original album by British supergroup Cream. The album was released in Europe by Polydor Records and by Atco Records in the United States, debuting in Billboard on February 15, 1969. ] A single, "Badge", was subsequently released from the album a month later (see 1969 in music). The album was released after Cream disbanded in November 1968.

The Band was a rock music group active from 1967 to 1976 and again from 1983 to 1999. The original group (1967–1976) consisted of four Canadians: Robbie Robertson (guitar, piano, vocals); Richard Manuel (piano, harmonica, drums, saxophone, organ, vocals); Garth Hudson (organ, piano, clavinet, accordion, synthesizer, saxophone); and Rick Danko (bass guitar, violin, trombone, vocals), and one American, Levon Helm (drums, mandolin, guitar, bass guitar, vocals).

Pharoah Sanders is an American jazz saxophonist. A member of John Coltrane's groups of the mid-1960s, Sanders is known for his overblowing, harmonic, and multiphonic techniques on the saxophone, as well as his use of "sheets of sound".

Al Kooper has a rock pedigree that goes way back to the ‘60s when he came to fame by playing on Bob Dylan’s Blonde On Blonde. AL has played with The Blues Project, Blood Sweat And Tears, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones and The Who. His Super Sessions albums recorded in the late ‘60s with Stephen Stills and Mike Bloomfield were two of the best selling rock albums of that period. Kooper Sessions Vol 2 was recorded with the legendary Shuggie Otis.

Savoy Brown are an English blues rock band formed in Battersea, south west London in 1965. Part of the late 1960s blues rock movement, Savoy Brown primarily achieved success in the United States, where they promoted their albums with non-stop touring.
