St. Vincent is the moniker of singer/multi-instrumentalist/composer Annie Clark and this is her debut full-length. She's opened for such diverse acts as Television, Jose Gonzalez, and Sufjan Stevens, and she's an inventive and versatile guitarist who has also performed with avant-garde composer Glenn Branca. On this record, she writes cinematic pop epics that feel at times like Paris in the 20s before all the fun ended. Or, conversely, an orchestra of pure modernity - a new American music, informed by jazz, gospel blues, Southern folk music, and classical composition but, in the end, an animal original unto itself. She's been compared to everyone from Bjork to Kate Bush to Jeff Buckley, and her beautiful voice melds perfectly with her intricate guitar work.

The self-produced debut from the Chicago-based band recalls the downcast, hazy vibe of Alex G and Soccer Mommy.

〈Giving Up The Gun〉更是乐团成军来最适合舞池的一曲。

Back to Black is the second studio album by English singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse, released in October 2006 on Island Records. The album has spawned a number of singles such as "Rehab", "You Know I'm No Good", "Back to Black", "Tears Dry on Their Own", and "Love Is a Losing Game". Back to Black has received universal critical acclaim, and has been praised for its classic jazz/soul vibe, "vintage production style", accomplished songwriting, and Winehouse's mature and emotive singing style. It has appeared on numerous year-end Top Ten Lists produced by The Austin Chronicle, Billboard Magazine, Blender Magazine, Slant Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, The New York Times and Time Magazine. At the 50th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony, Back to Black won five awards, tying the record (with Lauryn Hill, Norah Jones, Alicia Keys, and Beyoncé) for the most awards won by a female artist in a single ceremony. The album won Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Song of the Year and Record of the Year for "Rehab"; Winehouse also won Best New Artist.

by Stephen Thomas Erlewine Reteaming with the Band, Bob Dylan winds up with an album that recalls New Morning more than The Basement Tapes, since Planet Waves is given to a relaxed intimate tone -- all the more appropriate for a collection of modest songs about domestic life. As such, it may seem a little anticlimactic since it has none of the wildness of the best Dylan and Band music of the '60s -- just an approximation of the homespun rusticness. Considering that the record was knocked out in the course of three days, its unassuming nature shouldn't be a surprise, and sometimes it's as much a flaw as a virtue, since there are several cuts that float into the ether. Still, it is a virtue in places, as there are moments -- "On a Night Like This," "Something There Is About You," the lovely "Forever Young" -- where it just gels, almost making the diffuse nature of the rest of the record acceptable.

There’s nothing in music quite like Hope Sandoval and Colm O’Ciosoig’s psychedelic slow dances and desert folk lullabies. “Salt of the Sea” and “The Peasant” epitomize the duo's achingly narcotic feel, but Sandoval’s inimitable allure hits full bloom on the Kurt Vile duet “Let Me Get There,” a cyclical lovelorn groove that we wish would never end.

An organic farm in the middle of nowhere in Spain. Dry wind through dry leaves. Dogs sleeping a siesta in the sun. Rain that never comes. And horses. Always horses. This is where we dropped off the critically acclaimed singer-songwriters Haley Heynderickx (Portland, Oregon) and Max García Conover (Portland, Maine), along with a bunch of instruments. We gave them 7 days. 7 days to get to know each other. 7 days to write an EP together and record it. The result is "Among Horses III", six songs of staggering beauty.
