The Spinto story started back in 1996 when Nick Krill found some songs in the attic penned on the back of Cracker Jack boxes by his grandfather, guitar player Roy Spinto. Those lyrics inspired Nick and 6 of his high school friends to form The Spinto Band penning their own songs that the Philadelphia Weekly calls "...unlikely beauties somewhere between Pavement, Yo La Tengo and the Flaming Lips."

Nobody burrowed more deeply into a song than Otis Redding -- hands down, the most emotive, soulful singer the '60s ever produced. Redding's impassioned, sweat-soaked delivery kept him straddling both pop and soul charts until his untimely death in 1967. Here is a high-definition vinyl exact reproduction of Dictionary of Soul from 1966. Everything is taken from the absolute master tapes in knockout mono. Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa-Fabulous!

Secret Treaties is the third studio album by the American hard rock band Blue Öyster Cult, released in 1974. Secret Treaties is regarded by many fans and critics alike as Blue Öyster Cult's best album. The album spent 14 weeks in the US album charts, peaking at No. 53.[6] It was declared gold by the RIAA in 1992.[7] In 1975, a poll of critics of the British magazine Melody Maker voted Secret Treaties as the "Top Rock Album of All Time". In 2010, Rhapsody (online music service) called it one of the all-time best "proto-metal" albums.[8] The cover, with art by Ron Lesser, depicts the band standing beside and sitting on and besides a German Me262 fighter aircraft; this scene is inspired by the song of the same name. Many songs from this album found their way into BOC playlists over the following years, including "Career of Evil", "Subhuman", "Astronomy" and "Harvester of Eyes".
