With co-founder Kim Deal having left the band last year, the new album was created by Black Francis, Joey Santiago and David Lovering, with help from long-time producer Gil Norton, who worked on Doolittle, Bossanova and Trompe le Monde. Artwork for the LP will be provided by graphic artist Vaughan Oliver who created the artwork for the band’s previous records. The album was recorded in October 2012 at Rockfield Studios in Wales and includes the band's comeback single Bagboy, and material from EP-1 and EP-2, as well as three new songs from EP-3, which will be available from the band’s website at 4.30pm today. It has been a turbulent year for the Pixies. After original bassist Kim Deal left the group six days into the recording of the new material, the band hired Kim Shattuck of the Muffs to replace her temporarily. However, her time with the Pixies was cut short. The band are now touring with bassist Paz Lenchantin, a bassist who has played with Zwan, A Perfect Circle and the Entrance Band. “We started seriously talking about recording new music about four years ago,” Pixies drummer David Lovering explained. “New music seemed like something we just had to do, we just couldn’t continue to go out and tour without anything new. So the talk evolved into writing and recording, and we’re all very happy with the way everything worked out.” Indie Cindy will be available in a number of different formats from the end of April, including a standard 12-track single-CD; a two-disc, gatefold album pressed on 180-gram vinyl; and an expanded digital download available exclusively through iTunes that includes a bonus 13-track set recorded during the band’s recent North American tour. Indie Cindy also gets a Record Store Day release in the form of a limited edition two-disc, deluxe gatefold release on 19 April.

The King of Limbs is the eighth studio album by English alternative rock band Radiohead, produced by Nigel Godrich. It will be released on 19 February 2011 as a download in MP3 and WAV formats, followed by a physical CD release in the UK on 28 March [1] and a special "newspaper" edition on 9 May 2011.[2] The "newspaper" edition will contain "two clear 10-inch vinyl records in a purpose-built record sleeve, many large sheets of artwork, 625 tiny pieces of artwork, a compact disc, and a full-colour piece of oxo-degradable plastic to hold it all together".[3] The album was announced on Radiohead's website on 14 February 2011, five days before release.[4] The name of the album possibly refers to an oak tree in Wiltshire's Savernake Forest, thought to be 1,000 years old.[4] The tree is a pollarded oak, referring to an ancient technique for harvesting timber for fencing and firewood. Though it does not feature on maps, the tree is said to be 3 miles (4.8 km) from Tottenham Court House, where Radiohead recorded part of their previous album In Rainbows.[5]

A Moon Shaped Pool is the ninth studio album by the English rock band Radiohead, produced by Nigel Godrich. It was released as a download on 8 May 2016. CD and LP editions will be released on 17 June 2016, followed by a "special edition" in September, containing two additional songs. Soon after its release the album was played in its entirety on BBC Radio 6 Music, presented by Tom Robinson.

Get Ready is the seventh studio album by English musical group New Order. Released in August 2001 this was the group's first album in eight years, following 1993's Republic. Peter Hook said of the album's title, "The title of the album is 'Get Ready' so it could mean anything or nothing. I thought it was just nice, New Order, 'Get Ready', 'cos we are, we're getting ready for the next phase of our musical lives both physically and mentally so it's quite a simple thing but it's very pertinent." The album was dedicated to Rob Gretton, the manager of Joy Division and New Order, who died in 1999. Keith Strickland, guitarist for the New Wave act The B-52's stated the sounds of "Get Ready" inspired him to make the sound for the B-52's 2008 album Funplex. The band The Killers took their name from the band playing in the "Crystal" video. "Someone Like You" appears in the independent film Haggard: The Movie. The album features a cover art directed by Peter Saville and designed by Howard Wakefield who have also designed covers for New Order and Joy Division albums. The cover model is German actress Nicolette Krebitz. In 2009, "Slow Jam" was used in a Visa advertising campaign.

Ten is the debut studio album by American rock band Pearl Jam, released on August 27, 1991, through Epic Records. Following the dissolution of their previous band Mother Love Bone in 1990, bassist Jeff Ament and guitarist Stone Gossard began rehearsing with guitarist Mike McCready.
