Dejay，中文名自称为“阿戟”，香港一人乐队 the pancakes 的唯一成员，身兼作曲、作词、编曲、弹奏、主音。毕业于香港大学，主修翻译，于大学期间开始音乐创作。毕业后任职图书馆管理员。她曾多次将自己的示范录音带寄去各唱片公司，结果得到西班牙家庭作业式唱片公司 Elefant 赏识签约，于2001年自资发行首张唱片《Les Bonbons Sont Bons》。其中一首歌《a》获九龙巴士选为广告用歌，因而初露头角，中华电力公司亦曾用她的歌作广告歌。其后她曾发行数张唱片，绝大多数歌曲皆为英语歌，以其独特的有点幼稚的唱腔及港式英语发音而著名，被视为香港非主流乐坛的新力军。她又自资出版杂志《Sofa》，同时开始参予其他演艺制作，例如创作独立电影《寻找真爱》，及为电影《麦兜故事》及《麦兜菠萝油王子》中的 Miss Chan 配音。于2005年凭《麦兜菠萝油王子》的一首歌《咁咁咁》击败其他著名歌手和音乐人夺得香港电影金像奖最佳原创电影歌曲奖。

the pancakes (a.k.a. Dejay) released her debut album les bonbons sont bons in early 2000, and the stylish singer-songwriter has since been a major presence on the Hong Kong indie music scene. In the last 10 years, a prestigious film award and a certain degree of international recognition have flown the pancakes' way. In addition to numerous albums and live gigs, she's also made a short film, published a book, contributed music to a bunch of TV commercials, and lent her voice to the McDull movies. So there's really no wonder the pancakes would christen her first best-of collection sometimes i just can't remember all the things we did together. In this "old and new songs compilation", Dejay selected 14 songs (such as fake bossa nova, automobile CM song tell me the truth before one of us dies) from past albums and also threw in 4 new tracks.

Three years after a brush with the YouTube algorithm turned him unexpectedly into a minor indie-pop star, Nicolas Muñoz still sounds unsure about what to do next.

‘Flicker’ is the second album from Ride guitarist and songwriter Andy Bell. Written almost as a conversation with his teenage self, it follows the triumphant solo debut that was 2020’s ‘The View From Halfway Down’. This 18-track double album finds Andy moving towards classic songwriting, notably on the reflective lead single ‘Something Like Love’, the strident harmonies of ‘World of Echo’, the joyous refracted loops of ‘Jenny Holzer B. Goode’ and the fuzz-laden late-’60s balladeering of ‘Love Is The Frequency’. Stylistically, the four sides of ‘Flicker’ take in everything from modern psychedelia to fingerpicked folk, whimsical baroque pop, and Byrdsian 12-string beauty. It’s a breathtaking array and makes it even more abundantly clear that Andy has entered a purple patch in his songwriting, hitting a new velocity in contrast to his initial inhibitions about becoming a solo artist. He gradually overcame these after the passing of David Bowie in 2016, with the Thin White Duke’s bountiful 50 years of music providing inspiration from beyond the grave.

Produced by Nigel Godrich, Win & Reìgine, and recorded in multiple locales including New Orleans, El Paso and Mount Desert Island, WE paradoxically distills “the longest we’ve ever spent writing, uninterrupted, probably ever" (per the band’s Win Butler) into a concise 40 minute epic – one as much about the forces that threaten to pull us away from the people we love, as it is inspired by the urgent need to overcome them. WE’s cathartic journey follows a definable arc from darkness into light over the course of seven songs divided into two distinct sides -- Side “I” channeling the fear and loneliness of isolation, and Side “WE” expressing the joy and power of reconnection. On the album’s cover, a photograph of a human eye by the artist JR evokes Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy. This stunning image -- embellished by the distinctive airbrush color tinting of Terry Pastor (utilizing the same physical technique he employed on David Bowie’s iconic Hunky Dory and Ziggy Stardust covers) – is the visual expression of WE. Waiting for the Sirens' Call is the eighth studio album by the English rock band New Order. The album was released on 28 March 2005 in the United Kingdom and 25 April 2005 in the United States, and was preceded by the single "Krafty" in February. Two additional singles from the album were released: "Jetstream", which features vocals by Ana Matronic from Scissor Sisters, and the title track of the album. The album was released at a time when the band were experiencing unprecedented recognition in the media. Waiting for the Sirens' Call marks Phil Cunningham's recording and co-writing debut with New Order; although he had been playing live with the band since the Get Ready tour of 2001–2002. It is the first New Order album recorded without Gillian Gilbert who left the band in 2001 to look after her family. The album was recorded at Real World studios in 2003–2004, and production costs totalled £700,000. During the sessions the band also recorded seven songs intended for their next album, which was never completed as planned. These songs were shelved when Peter Hook quit the group in 2007. One song, "Hellbent", was eventually released in 2011 and all seven (plus a remix of "I Told You So") were released as the album Lost Sirens in 2013. This album was the first and only New Order album to have a title track. This matches their current trend of now using song titles which are in the song lyrics, a practice New Order rarely did before their 2001 album Get Ready. The Japanese release includes several alternate versions of "Krafty" as bonus tracks, including one sung in Japanese. This was the first time that lead singer Bernard Sumner performed in a language other than English on record. The lyrics were translated by Masafumi Gotō. The USA release of this album includes one extra track, a remix of "Guilt Is a Useless Emotion".

Import pressing of Ian McCulloch & co.'s 1997 reunion album that is out of print domestically.
