《妄想学生会》以因少子化的影响而男女共校的私立樱才学园为舞台，讲述面对一群天然、经常口吐黄段子的少女们，主人公津田隆利日复一日不厌其烦吐槽的日常。原作漫画在《周刊少年Magazine》连载中，单行本现已发行了8卷。作品的看点在于各式充满个性的女孩子、毫无节操的擦边球以及各种犀利的吐槽，自2010年7月到9月播放TV动画以来，其热度长盛不衰。之后从漫画第5卷开始就一直同捆动画DVD（OAD）发售，期间也曾推出OVA，足以看到这部作品的魅力。
将于5月8日发售的新OVA是为了纪念漫画连载突破200话的项目“连续绝顶Project”的一环。和以往的动画相同，新OVA依旧由GoHands公司接手。相信新的作品一定能带给大家更多的精彩。
