The Fuccon Family was a pre-"Oh! Mikey" series, featuring the same three main characters: Mikey and his parents James and Barbara.
日本風情畫：來自京都的石橋義正近年發現了一個十分古怪的家庭。這一家姓 Fuccon，據說是個移居日本的美國家庭，但他們平時說的，卻是非常流利的日語。Fuccon 先生似乎是個上班族，Fuccon 太太則是家庭主婦。他們有個兒子叫 Mikey，今年九歲。這一家人永遠都掛著一副興奮莫名的笑臉，並時常發出駭人的笑聲。石橋義正幾年前就開始著手研究這個 Fuccon 氏家庭，務求將這家人最離奇最荒唐的一面發掘出來，呈現在大家面前。
個案一：Fuccon 太太希望 Mikey 長大後當醫生，Fuccon 先生卻希望 Mikey 成為足球員。兩人初則口角，繼而動武，你一拳，我一腳，在客廳裡自由搏擊，打到裙拉褲甩，頭髮都扯亂了。兒子走來問他們在吵什麼，他們立即恢復原狀，裝作若無其事，還說父母從不打架，大家都很相親相愛啊。接著他們議論兒子到底愛誰多一些，是爸爸呢？還是媽媽呢？爭論一輪後，兩夫婦又再大打出手。
個案二：Fuccon 夫婦因為兒子上學前不肯喝牛奶，竟想到假扮被賊人綑綁，待兒子下課回家時，要脅他就範。Fuccon 夫婦騙他說，如果他不聽話，父母就不要獲釋。他們迫令 Mikey 在客廳裡跳舞、轉圈，甚至用頭來做倒立，Mikey 都照做了。最後是喝牛奶。Mikey 不喜歡牛奶，但想到要拯救父母，就一口氣喝下，結果發現牛奶的味道還不錯哩。一家人於是笑作一團。
個案三：Mikey 生病了，Fuccon 夫婦卻要他在五分鐘內把早餐吃完然後上學去。Mikey 勉強把早餐吃了，但已病得面青青，不能上學了。Fuccon 先生就說，孩子不上學，比不吃早餐更糟啊。Mikey 病到氣喘喘，Fuccon 先生就告訴他假裝生病是不對的。Mikey 為了避免父母生氣，終於揹起書包帶病去上學。然後 Fuccon 先生跟妻子說，自己不想去上班，不如裝病留在家裡休息一天吧。
以上個案純屬虛構，如有雷同實屬不幸。這些都不過是日本創作人石橋義正的搞笑故事橋段。2000 年他製作了一個在半夜播放的電視綜合性節目，叫《愈夜愈紅》( Vermilion Pleasure Night )，其中一個環節就是《癲得家庭》( The Fuccon Family )。他忽發奇想，不做高科技電腦動畫，卻反其道，將電視處境喜劇 ( Sitcom ) 的演員，全部換成時裝店裡死板板的櫥窗公仔，拍成一段段兩三分鐘的短劇。那時候我到東京旅遊，碰巧在酒店房間看到電視上播著《癲得家庭》，看到畫面上有幾個外國人模樣的公仔，嘴巴不會動，卻配上了日語對白。劇中幾乎沒有任何肢體活動，只是把不同的畫面剪接起來，以交代劇情。有種看連環圖的感覺。由於我聽不懂日語，當時並不知道他們在說些什麼，只覺得很怪誕。後來在香港電影節裡看到《愈夜愈紅》的電影版《周末任你癲》( The Color of Life )，透過字幕終於明白那些極盡挖苦與諷刺的故事情節。
《愈夜愈紅》在日本受到年輕人歡迎，漸漸成為話題作。《愈夜愈紅》播完了，石橋義正就把當中最多人喜愛的《癲得家庭》抽出來，繼續把這個古怪家庭的故事發展下去。Fuccon 氏家庭實在是個不折不扣的病態家庭 ( Dysfunctional family )，父母不像父母，孩子不像孩子，丈夫背著妻子搞婚外情，妻子又背著丈夫偷歡。說它「無厘頭」，它其實癲得有紋有路。石橋義正通過幾個櫥窗公仔，和不斷重複的對話，把一般被認為是家庭悲劇的東西，扭轉成瘋狂喜劇。劇中偶然有些意淫的場面設計，亦用了不少地道題材，譬如 Fuccon 太太為了訓練孩子獨立，於是叫孩子獨自到市場買菜，然後讓丈夫在背後暗中跟著兒子，結果當然是錯漏百出。《癲得家庭》共拍了百多集，不斷有新角色加入，像 Mikey 的老師 Bob、暗戀的女同學 Emily 和表姊 Laura 等等。當然全部都是櫥窗公仔。其中 Bob 是個有趣的人物，他說話的聲音總是微弱得不能讓人聽見，每次都要他的母親跑出來為他傳話。
《癲得家庭》的幕後黑手石橋義正今年 36 歲，於京都市立藝術大學畢業，曾到英國皇家藝術學院當過一年交換生，並在 1997 年拍了他的首部電影短片《我要搞到你發神經》( Kuruwasetaino )。除了炮製《愈夜愈紅》和《癲得家庭》，他又跟一些搞視覺藝術的朋友組成了 Kyupi Kyupi，拍錄像、搞裝置和舞台演出。石橋義正後來把《癲得家庭》輯製成 DVD，名為《 OH! Mikey 》，現已推出了五輯。2003 年十二月他更把原宿一間咖啡屋變身成為 Mikey’s Cafe，為期十多天，在店內擺放短劇中的櫥窗公仔，全部打扮成侍應的樣子，還有以角色命名的套餐供顧客選購。
石橋義正刻意選用外國人模樣的公仔來拍《癲得家庭》，營造出怪異與疏離的效果。不過日本觀眾看慣電視上配了日語的「吹替版」外國電影，對他們來說，《癲得家庭》裡的外國人滿口流利日語，可能也合情合理。日語中，外國人是「異人」。拿「異人」來開玩笑，一方面是日本人崇洋媚外心態的反面投射，另一方面，那些角色過的是日本人的生活，短劇表面上是在取笑「異人」，然而嘲笑的，卻正是自家的荒謬故事。
