1979年，一份日后成为香港电影界权威杂志的《电影双周刊》诞生，从事电影界报道、评论的创作。当时香港电影已经发展到一定的规模，在亚洲乃至全世界占有一席之地，但是却没有自己的电影界，甚至没有电影人自己的官方组织。《电影双周刊》以其对电影事业的关注和责任感，组织了一群电影人进行年度优秀电影和优秀电影人的评选，并从1982年开始，与香港电台合作举办正式的颁奖典礼，此后每年一度，这就是目前在华语影坛具有极高影响力和权威地位的香港电影金像奖。本书作者的灰，以香港金像奖开办以来历届荣获影帝影后的知名演员为对象，概括性地总结了他们在影坛乃至整个演艺生命中的创作与成就，并对其个人经历作了资料详实而又生动丰富的描述，对于喜爱香港电影，喜爱这些演员的读者而言，具有一定的阅读趣味和阅读价值。《香港电影金像奖帝后列传》一书于2007年金像奖颁奖典礼之际问世，纪念香港电影金像奖曾经走过的银禧之年。

Champion competitive marksman Ken comes across an armored van robbery. He sees a policeman held hostage and shoots and kills four of the robbers.
