【アーティストについて】
グループのメンバーとして、1999年にソロデビュー。その頃からソングライティングを始め、同年10月に自身の作曲した3rdシングル「Dear Angel」をリリース、その後シングル3枚「Dress Me Up」 「できない」「Color Of Your Spoon」アルバム「Synchronicity」をリリース。その中で自身の言葉としての表現を不得手な日本語でどれだけ伝えられるかに多少悩みつつも、その後2枚のシングル「Sea Me」「Into The Stars」をリリース、しかし自分の中でどうしても言葉としてしっかりと自分のメッセージを伝えたいとの想いから、2003年に過去の作品を英語でリライトしたアルバム「Internal Bleeding Strawberry」をタワーレコード限定で発売、その週の発売のアルバムとしては椎名林檎についでタワーレコードチャートにおいて2位になる。
そして2003年にはその「Internal Bleeding Strawberry」をスタートにタワーレコード限定発売の全曲英語詩のフルセルフプロデュースによる(実際には弟のJeffly Lufkinとの共同プロデュース)新作ミニアルバム3枚「Melly & Hell Go Round (2003/06/27)」「Comatose Bunny Butcher(2003/09/12)」 「The Return Of The Chlorophyll Bunny(2003/12/03)」を3ヶ月おきにリリースという怒涛のリリースを見せる。
そして明けて2004年にはその4枚のミニアルバムからピックアップされた13曲によるフルアルバム「The Lost Lolli」を全国発売、その発売週にはタワーレコードチャートBest50にミニアルバム4枚とフルアルバム全てがチャートインするという前代未聞の現象を起こす。
Marilyn Manson,NINE INCH NAILS、デイジーチェーンソウ、といったアーティストに影響を受けゴシックサウンドをベースにドリーミーロックを融合させたその独特な世界をOLIVIAは生み出す。
