Theatre 1 (Observational Film Series #3) is a feature length documentary, which closely depicts the world of Oriza Hirata, Japan's leading playwright and director, and his theatrical company, Seinendan. By depicting them, the film leads the audience to revisit fundamental but timely questions: What is theatre? Why do human beings act?

On October 9th, 1972 an exhibition of John Lennon/Yoko Ono's art, designed by the Master of the Fluxus movement, George Maciunas, opened at the Syracuse Museum of Art, curated by David Ross, presently Director of Whitney Museum, in New York. On the same day an unusual group of John's and Yoko's friends, including Ringo, Allen Ginsberg, Paul Krasner, and many others, gathered to celebrate John's birthday. "The very first Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival was held here at Zhongshan Hall. During my university days, I volunteered as a ticket seller in order to watch films for free. Many years later, I received the top award at the Taipei Film Festival in an award ceremony held here as well. I have also run a coffeehouse here and often held small screenings of classic films during that time. Last year, I shot my film, Your Face, inside Guangfu Auditorium. The film was composed of thirteen big close-ups. Each of those thirteen faces was filled with the passage of time. Now, I am given a chance to film Zhongshan Hall again. I switched off all the lights and allowed the warm winter sun to shine on her face."

经典电影《末代皇帝溥仪》、《战场上的快乐圣诞》、《复仇勇者》的配乐，皆出于日本最具影响力的音乐大师「坂本龙一」之手。2017年他为时隔8年的新专辑《async》在纽约Park Avenue Armory的Veteran’s Room 举行了两场「一票难求」的演奏，全球仅得200位观众有幸欣赏。坂本积极追溯和思考人与音乐的根源和关係，近年的作品风格亦见远离「形式」，更正视「音乐」本质。《async》的创作灵感源自日常事物、凋塑和自然。为追求极致声音，坂本在「async演奏会」上除表演拿手的钢琴，亦大玩鼓棍、棒枝敲击玻璃板，以及音响凋刻品，让观众用音乐去感知世界，与大师一起寻找永恆之音。
