Batman Returns is a beat-em-up side-scrolling game designed for the Sega consoles. It was published by Sega.

The game allows the player to experience seven scenes that were featured in the film of the same name. Batman must fight his way through the Red Triangle Circus Gang, using the various weapons and fighting moves he has available. Each level has a unique boss which must be defeated in order for the player to progress to the next level.

The devs in the 90s must've hated kids, but the kids in the 90s must've been masochistic. I remember actually getting far in this game as like an 8-year-old. Now I'm 30 and I cry for my mommy after 10 minutes with this game. In a way, it made me feel younger than I've ever felt.

That being said, the graphics in this game are very detailed and much more atmospheric than the first one. And the gameplay is more complex.

But I've been spoiled by the Arkham games to the point that I can't with this game.
