Toy Story (1995)

This really exemplifies a lot of the problems with modern media and in particular kids' media. Instead of imagination, the emphasis is placed on adult-oriented jokes (and unfunny ones at that). Andy is barely given any screen time, the movie is completely uninterested in understanding children or speaking about problems relatable to them. Even the main villain of the story is another child, when it really should be the sheriff toy, whatever his name was. Neither him, nor Buzz seem to be interested at all in what Andy wants or needs. The movie instead functions as a massive toy commercial. Tbf, I didn't finish it, so maybe it gets better later on, but I suspect the ending is that the Sheriff learns to be less obnoxious or something. Either way, this doesn't save the movie from being an absolute chore.
