a review of 飞侠哥顿

https://youtu.be/16kBY2dO-Gk?si=3V1Ph1qMdTa65aMj I was expecting more structure, but I got less structure. They took the innocent, escapist sci-fantasy adventure and turned it into some kinda psychedelic, erotic fever-trip rock opera. It's a visual feast, but it makes very little sense and thinks it's so cool because it like breaks taboos, man. It's almost embarrassed to be a Flash Gordon movie and wants to reimagine it for the sexually-liberated, drugged-up youths of the post-60s America. I certainly wouldn't show this version to a child. That being said, I can't be too mad at it because of how wildly imaginative it is audio-visually. P.S. if you pause at the right moment, you can almost see Princess Aura's coochie.
