From above the street, Bangkok unfolds in layers: busy traffic, colorful taxis, motorbikes, tuk-tuks and pedestrians moving between the high-rise buildings of Pratunam. On the right, Platinum Fashion Mall dominates the scene, while the dense city continues far into the distance.
As a travel and documentary photographer exploring Thailand and Southeast Asia, I’m drawn to scenes like this because they show Bangkok as it really feels — crowded, energetic and constantly moving.
I chose 47mm at f/9 to keep the street, vehicles and surrounding architecture sharply defined. 1/1250 sec freezes the traffic from this elevated viewpoint, while ISO 100 preserves clean detail and color in the daylight.
