address tech oligarchy and fascism as dangers to our societies
and to democracy. Science also does so in its own interest,
because both – fascism, of course, but also tech oligarchy, which
likes to tout science, technology and research – attack
science itself.

auch die Tech-Oligarchie, die gerne Wissenschaft, Technik und
Forschung im Mund führt – die Wissenschaft selbst angreifen.

Die Wissenschaft muss sie aber auch bekämpfen, weil beide - der Faschismus sowieso, aber auch die Technik und Forschung glorifizierende Tech-Oligarchie - die Vernunft und damit die Wissenschaft selbst angreifen.
