Say hello to Barbie Pig, a new type of sea cucumber discovered on the deep-sea floor by a team from the Natural History Museum in London. The frilly-footed fuchsia beauty was filmed by a robot on the Pacific seabed, 5km deep, in an area called the Clarion-Clipperton Zone. A documentary opening next month, How Deep Is Your Love, gives a scientist’s-eye view of the astonishingly biodiverse region.

the café stayed awake
on behalf of the rest of vienna

inside, two people were still working
or performing a careful imitation of it

outside, the city that ever sleeps
had already turned off most of its thoughts

the lights made everything look possible
which was kind of them

Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside,
I do like to be beside the sea 🌊

A morning 27km ride just for the fun of it, inland along part of the Leidsevaart, then back along the dunes through Noordwijk.

Very happy to be back on my old familiar cycling routes 🇳🇱👍
