Ruins from mining operations in the mountains of Eryri are very typical for North Wales.

The stone ruins of a historic mining operation standing on a grassy slope by a lake in the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia). The stone building is made of rough block and stands roofless. Sunlight streams through the windows, lighting up the shaded side in patches. A wide gravel footpath runs along the edge of the blue lake which reflects the steep mountains rising sharply in the background under a bright blue sky with scattered clouds.
