From the backlog from last October: I did the Old City Hall station tour. The tour is only open to members of the NY Transit Museum. But the free way to see it is to take the 6 train and stay on the train past Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station; there the train will go through the Old City Hall station in a loop to turn around. #nyc #subway #trains #trainstation #architecture #photography #darktable #railfan

Under the dark tiled arches, on a curved platform of an abandoned subway station. The station is lit by dim tunsten-colored lights. A train entered the station, and its bright headlights illuminated the tour guide on the platform.

Black and white photograph of an underground metro station taken from a footbridge above the tracks. The photo is symmetrical, with the double rails in the center disappearing beneath a concrete arch structure, the boarding platforms, concrete walls and stairs on either side, and a cathedral-like ceiling from which cylindrical lights are suspended. The station name "Radisson" appears on the walls on either side.

A black and white photograph of the boarding platform of an underground subway station, showing the pale metal edge of the platform on the right, the dark, double tracks below in the center, and the opposite platform with pale floor tiles, a light strip on the ceiling, an advertising panel on the wall, and benches in the dim light. The photograph is taken at an angle, and the double tracks run from the lower left corner to the upper right, gleaming in the light and separating into their respective tunnels at the ends. The floors, lights, and tracks create lines that all converge on a point on the right in the center.

Lex 63

And we're off Roosevelt Island and back to the subway

A subway rushes past, blurred in motion. The station name, "Lex 63" is barely visible through a blurred window
